The social is in honour and celebration of the collaborations with the Equitas Human Rights Program, MAD Group, Our Gang, the Creek Runs Clearer Group, Kahnawà:ke Youth Center (KYC) and Kahnawà:ke Survival School.

The Project:

Promoting Respect and the Tree of Peace/ Tionerahtase’kó:wa

The objective of the project was to promote respect and to have a tree planting activity with the various youth groups involved.

Education on the Tree of Peace teachings was also included to tie in the links to Kanien’kehá:ka culture ex link to respectful communications, self identity and conflict resolution were important principals throughout the project.
