In conjunction with the youth group “Where the Creek Runs Clearer” we are providing our community with a two day workshop on growing our own food.

Guest speakers will present topics in their areas of experience and expertise.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Bus to Memorial March

KSCS will be providing a bus, free of charge, to take community members to the 2013 Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Native Women in Montreal.

Together, we can say "NO to violence!"

Departure: Bus departs at 4:30 p.m. from KSCS parking lot
Return: Bus will return for 9:00 p.m. from Montreal

Holiday Parade

The entire community is invited to come out and enjoy this family fun alcohol and drug fee community event!

Holiday Parade

  • December 7, 2013  (rain or shine)
  • 11:00 a.m.
  • Route: Old Malone Highway tunnel to "Up the Hill" school

We will be serving hot chocolate, snacks and having a special activity at the Karonhianónhnha School after the parade concludes.

The deadline to register a float is December 4, 2013.

A special float will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Kateri Food Baskets.

SOW-HCCS Arts & Crafts Event

Home and Community Care Services (HCCS) is holding a Traditional Arts & Crafts demonstration and sale event as part of the Spirit of Wellness.

We are looking for basket makers, bead workers, Traditional outfit makers, carvers, rattle/drum makers, cradleboard makers, silversmiths and more! Come and demonstrate your artistry as well as have an opportunity to sell.

The classes will be taught by experienced yoga instructor Ilaini Scholl. Classes will run every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and will run from September 5, 2012 to March 27, 2013.
