Kateri Food Basket and KSCS Announce Changes to Delivery Dates
For Immediate Release (Kahnawake April 19, 2021) The Orville Standup Memorial Kateri Food Basket and Kahnawà:ke Shakotiia’takéhnhas Community Services (KSCS) Emergency Food Basket announced today that starting on Friday May 7, 2021, food basket deliveries will be changing to a monthly delivery schedule for recipients. Emergency food basket recipients can expect a written notice and phone call to inform them of the new schedule.
The change was made to address the ever-evolving availability of staff to run the service, and the need to ensure that the budget can sustain this program for an indefinite amount of time. KSCS and the Orville Standup Memorial Kateri Food Basket have been offering bi-weekly and monthly deliveries since March 2020 to families in need, and we remain committed to continue this service for as long as is needed during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We would like to remind food basket recipients to note their upcoming delivery dates and ensure there is someone home to accept food delivery.
