COMMUNITY NOTICE

Prevention Summer Programming

For Immediate Release (Kahnawà:ke May 20, 2021) Kahnawà:ke Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) wishes to inform the community that given the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent emergency measures in place, our summer programming will once again be affected this year.

One of KSCS’ responsibilities is to provide food and shelter services during an emergency. As such, many of our staff have been reassigned to the Emergency Food Bank services and this affects our programming and service delivery.

While the situation is fluid and can change daily, program planning takes time. Our Prevention Services are planning limited summer programming; however, please note that programming is being developed to meet the needs of specific target groups.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel but we must still continue to adhere to the directives of the health authorities and the Kahnawà:ke Task Force and the infection prevention and control measures of distance, masks, and hygiene
