(Kahnawake – March 19, 2020) In an effort to comply with the Kahnawake COVID-19 Task Force Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) are mandating all non-essential services staff to work from home.
All non-essential KSCS staff working from home are doing so to support the Essential Support Services and workers. In addition, all non-essential services staff can be called upon to help ensure other community Essential Services areas have the human resources needs met if required.
These measures will be in effect until the Kahnawake COVID-19 Task Force allows the organization to resume normal operations.
We want to reassure the community that access to essential services offered the community is our highest priority during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lastly KSCS is working of putting into place a process that will allow community members access to food if they have limited or no access to a stable food supply. Once operationalized another notice will be sent to the community on how to access this.
