Re: COMMUNITY HEALTH PLAN INITIATIVE (CHPI) 2021-2022

Onkwata’karitáhtshera would like to advise the community that due to the ongoing State of Emergency in Kahnawà:ke, there will be no call for proposals for the Community Health Plan Initiative (CHPI) funding for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Onkwata’karitáhtshera believes that it will be challenging for community organizations to develop new projects based on the current restrictions in place, and equally challenging for Onkwata’karitáhtshera to evaluate their impacts and effectiveness.

Given this, Onkwata’karitáhtshera made the decision to move forward by funding all current

2020-2021 CHPI projects into 2021-2022. Project coordinators have been contacted to determine if this option is feasible, and have been made aware of the requirements to proceed.
