KSCS RESUMES CONTROL OF INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (Kahnawake – April 29, 2021) - As of March 21, 2021,
Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) and the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center (KMHC) have officially completed the transfer of the clinical and authoritative management of Independent Living Center (ILC) back to KSCS.
“We want to congratulate and thank the KSCS staff of Assisted Living Services, the clinical staff of KMHC, KSCS Health and Safety Committee and most importantly our residents for their hard work and diligence to allow this to happen,” said Kathy Jacobs, Director of Family Services.
To assist in ensuring the health and safety of staff and residents of ILC and other KSCS community buildings, a Collaborative Framework between KMHC and KSCS was created to allow for a comprehensive flow of authority, partnership, and information between the two community organizations for COVID-19 Health and Safety Measures.
