PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WAIT LIST TO ACCESS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Kahnawake – November 19, 2021 - Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services (KSCS) wishes to inform the community that due to the volume of requests for mental health services, we will be re-implementing a wait list system. A triage system will be initiated whereby the individuals on the wait list can expect to receive weekly check-ins to assess and prioritize their current situation. In addition, they are encouraged to reach out to us at 450-632-6880 if their situation changes.
Services such as our After-Hours Response (contact through Kahnawake Peacekeepers 450-632-6505) continue to be available for individuals who need someone to talk to until they can be connected to a counselor for more long term services.
Community members are also encouraged to contact Mental Health resources such as:
