The Family and Wellness Center Traditional Suppor team and guest speakers will incorporate Haudenosaunee teachings and spirituality. Understanding our grief process with respect to our customs and culture can give us the tools to help navigate the deep and intense loss of a loved one.

Building capacity and capability leading to healthier lifestyles.

Women's Addiction Recovery Group

The group will meet weekly at the Language Nest for eight sessions beginning Thursday, October 17, 2019 and ending on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Groups will be held in the same building as the women's group but in different rooms and with different facilitators. Childcare, taxi service, and dinner are available.

Time: 4:00–5:30 PM

Topics include:

  • Building resilience through cultural teachings
  • Learning about the impacts of multi-generational trauma
  • Talking circles
  • Coping with cravings
  • Beading as medicine
  • Plus guest speakers!
