  • These teachings are geared towards pregnant women, couples, and fathers to be.
  • There will be 6 sessions in this series of teachings that begin on Wed Jan 23, 2012

Time: 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.

Kahnawake Shotiia'takehnhas Community Services hosts Tehontatró:ris every month to hear ideas, and to share information and knowledge that is pertinent to the community's health and well being. We would like to invite you to join us this month for:

Supporting Children with Learning Disabilities in the Classroom and Beyond

Objectives

  • Discussion on available school support, Individualized Education Plans (IEP), parental involvement & advocacy, and the use of technology;
  • Concrete strategies will be presented for the home & school;
  • To review social & emotional challenges;
  • Participants will gain a sense of empowerment, knowing the role they should play to support children.
