The discussions will focus on

• pregnancy according to our Haudenosaunee beliefs.
• These teachings are geared towards pregnant women, couples, and fathers to be.
• There will be 6 sessions in this series of teachings that begin on Wed Jan 23, 2012

Time: 12:30 to 3:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided.

Supporting Children with Learning Disabilities in the Classroom and Beyond

Objectives

• Discussion on available school support, Individualized Education Plans (IEP), parental involvement & advocacy, and the use of technology;
• Concrete strategies will be presented for the home & school;
• To review social & emotional challenges;
• Participants will gain a sense of empowerment, knowing the role they should play to support children.

A youth identification program will take place at Step by Step school. Parents will receive an identification card, free of cost, which will include their child’s photo and all pertinent information.
