Sexual Assault and Consent

Let’s talk about consent! Consent is all about communication – verbal and non-verbal. Consent is about setting your own boundaries and respecting the boundaries of the other person. Silence or unconsciousness does not mean yes. Consent is never implied, and you can change your mind at any time. Practicing consent every time can prevent sexual assault.

Reminder: Pig Girl performance

KSCS is sponsoring two performances of the award-winning play Pig Girl by Colleen Murphy. The play will be performed tonight and tomorrow at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Doors open at 5:00 PM, the play begins at 6:00 PM sharp. The event is free but space is limited.

Caution: strong language and implied violence, the play is recommended for ages 16+ accompanied by an adult.

Violence Prevention Month is coming up in July.

It’s important to be aware of the impacts of violence. We have a responsibility to protect our community. The impacts of violence at work, at school or at home could cause much harm to our future generations. Take part in Violence Prevention Month activities. Stay tuned for more details.
