Kahnawake Holiday Parade 2015

• When: Sunday, December 13, 2015
• Time: Begins at 11:00 AM
• Deadline to register your float: Wednesday, December 9, 2015
• Pictures with Santa: Bring your own camera
• Free! Hot chocolate and donuts after the parade
• Please bring canned or non-perishable food items to donate to the Kahnawake Food Baskets

It is free to register your group or floats for the parade. Registration forms are available at KSCS, 2nd floor, at the Services Complex, 1 River Road, Kahnawake. For more information call 450-632-6880.

Activities will take place after the parade at Karonhianónhnha School. Please park at the back of the school.

The Gift of Hope invites you take Pictures with Santa

• When: Wednesday, December 9, 2015
• Time: 4:30 — 7:00 PM
• Place: KSCS main building, Services Complex, 2nd Floor
• There will be light refreshments and snack and best of all the photo with Santa is FREE!

The event is sponsored by KSCS and Kahnawake Suicide Prevention.

The community is invited to attend the unveiling of the Indian Residential School Survivors Commemorative painting by Owisokon P. Lahache. Come on out and support the resiliency and strength that resides in those that attended the Indian Residential School Program and remember those that have past.

The event will take place at the Kahnawake Services Complex (downstairs from KSCS) from 10:00 AM –2:00 PM. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

FYI: In conjunction with surviving students, “Now Just Surviving…” will be permanently housed at the Kanien’kehaka Onkwawen:na Raotitiokwa Language and Cultural Center for future viewing.

Portage youth treatment services will give a presentation to the community. The presentation is open to the community.

Our Gang will be holding a Youth ID event at Step by Step. This initiative will give parents an up-to-date identification card in case of a lost or missing child and will help give parents extra peace of mind.

There will be a social at the Mohawk Trail Longhouse starting at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome. Refreshments and snacks will be available. For more information, contact Loretta Lebogne at 450-638-0408.

Throw-Back Thursday family game challenge. Prizes for most generations, most family members, and youngest/oldest family member. The event is open to everyone.

The event will take place at the Karonhianonhnha School parking lot from 4:00 PM to sundown. and it hosted by Assisted Living Services.

The Kahnawake Schools Diabetes Prevention Program sponsors an hour of free skating at the Kahnawake Sports Complex.
