  • To learn more about the importance of trees for our environment.
  • Discussion on production, grouping and planting, to the local species that grow best in our particular type of earth, along with the importance to our own culture, and more specifically the cultural relevance of trees.

  • To examine the circumstance leading to the establishment of present-day Kahnawà:ke, beginning with our origins in the Mohawk Valley and an examination into life in Kahnawake at the time of its establishment.

The Teen Social Club is holding an Indian Taco Fundraiser to raise funds for activities and supplies. They will also be selling half and half raffle tickets. Eat in and take out are available. Stop in and support their fundraising activity.

Description: 

KSCS Residential School Program Worker Tom Deerhouse will be in the lobby of the Kahnawà:ke Services Complex to provide information on the Sixties Scoop class action lawsuit, eligibility, and claims process. 

He will also be providing information on upcoming events to remember and honour the victims and survivors of residential schools and the 60s scoop.
