Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services hosts Tehontatró:ris every month to hear ideas, to share information and knowledge that is pertinent to the community’s health and well being. We would like to invite you to join us this month for:

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in practice: Perspectives from lived and clinical experiences

Presenters: Saskia Ferrar, M.A., Alison Kirkpatrick, M.A., Erin Yong Ping, MSc., Concordia University – Developmental Psychopathology Lab

Objectives:

  • Introduction to DBT and its uses;
  • Intervention to improve family functioning and emotion regulation;
  • Lived experiences from a client’s perspective — awaiting confirmation, subject to change.

Assisted Living Services (ALS) Spaghetti Fundriaser

The meal includes a spaghetti meal, mixed green salad, choice of water or soda, a dinner role and dessert. Delivery is available for orders of five meals or more. Half and half raffle tickets will also be sold ($5 per ticket or 3 tickets for $10).

All proceeds will help offset the cost of activities and programming for the clients of ALS.

Helpers Coming Together Addictions and Mental Health Resource Fair

The community is invited to come to the Knights of Columbus to learn about the programs and services  available to community members. It's also a chance to network , update, and recruit workers.

There will be booths and information by KSCS, Onen'to:kon, Akwesasne's Kanonhkwat'sheri:io, Saint Luc, Detox/CHUM, Wanaki, Camillus Centre, AMI-Quebec, Benbowopka, and more!

Mike Scott brings his Sober is Sexy talk back by popular demand at 6:00 p.m.

There will be an opening prayer, live music and entertainment for the kids.
