Mental Health First Aid for People Working with Youth

Training from November 1st to 22nd in four parts

Training program offering information and strategies for professionals working with youth

Program geared to identifying youth experiencing mental health difficulties or who are in crisis. Topics include varying mental health issues, and include self-mutilation and eating disorders. A certificate of participation is given following the four sessions. There is no cost for participation. Limited number of spaces available, contact Chad Diabo 450-632-6880 ext.201 to register.

APPLIED SUICIDE INTERVENTION SKILLS TRAINING (ASIST)

Every Life Has a Purpose
There is help there is hope

This training an intensive two-day session that is, interactive and practice orientated course that is designed to help caregivers recognize risk and learn how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.  It is for all caregivers (any person in a position of trust).

  • Group work exploring invitation and suicide ideation
  • Explore & discuss reasons for and against suicide-risk assessment
